Privacy Policy
So Excited collects no personal data. Your countdowns stay on your devices and in your own iCloud account. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools in the app. The developer never sees your countdowns.
Your countdowns
The countdowns you create, including their titles, dates, notes, links and any photos you add, are stored on your device. If you’re signed in to iCloud, they also sync to your other devices through your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). That data lives in your iCloud account, under Apple’s privacy policy; the developer can’t access it.
Settings
Your theme and reminder choices sync to your other devices through iCloud key-value storage, also in your own iCloud account. Other settings stay on the device. The widgets read your upcoming countdowns from storage shared with the app on the same device.
Reminders
Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing about them is sent to the developer. The app asks permission before sending any.
Photos and images
When you add a photo to a countdown, you pick it with Apple’s photo picker, so the app sees only the photo you choose. If you create an image with Image Playground, Apple generates it; the app receives only the finished image. When you save a share card to Photos, the app asks for permission to add images to your library; it can’t see or change your other photos.
So Excited Plus
So Excited Plus is a subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. To check whether you’re subscribed, and to restore your subscription, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous identifier created by the app, your purchase and its receipt from Apple, and basic technical details such as the app version, device model, country or region and language. It doesn’t receive your name, email address, payment details or countdowns. This data is used to provide and restore your subscription, and to show the developer anonymous, aggregate statistics (such as how many people subscribe). It’s handled under RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Beta testing with TestFlight
If you test a beta through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple may share information with the developer such as your name or email (if you were invited by email), crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. This is handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy and is used only to fix bugs and improve the app.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete a countdown in the app to remove it from your devices and iCloud. Deleting the app removes its data from that device; you can remove synced data in your iCloud settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
